Duke.

I saw GVF a couple of months ago at Ally Pally, they were great.

Nebraska. Springsteen. Often called dark and gloomy but i think it contains some very well written songs. Johnny 99, Used Car and My Fathers House are outstanding.

Pablo Honey by Radiohead gets slated, but I have a soft spot for it. Probably because I heard it at the time, so did not have the later albums to unfairly compare it to. I like to think of myself as a visionary who could see the potential 😉

Mostly anything produce by Robert MUTT Lange. Hated the world over by music critics. Catchy as hell. And sells by the truck load.

Yep. All decent albums in their own right if not compared to Def Maybe and What's the story....

Even if Be Here Now was a little over extravagant, but still has some powerful tunes. And any album that opens with 'D'you know what I mean' is fucking fine by me.

Blimey Ted.

Most critics would put either Revolver or Sgt Pepper in first place amongst Beatles albums.

Abbey Road, Rubber Soul and the White Album usually vie for the bronze with the caveat that they are all also fucking brilliant. Dunno that I've ever seen it slagged off much.

Obviously NS and Swiss will be on to make me wrong.

I think Umagumma wins the Floyd pushing it prize.

Ummagumma is redeemed a bit by the live disc.

Atom Heart Mother is astonishingly awful.

Mind you, I'd rather listen to either than The Wall or The Final Cut.

And, yes, I know Comfortably Numb is on The Wall, but that's 6 mins of Comfortably Numb and 74 mins of not Comfortably Numb.

Cardiacs - Sing to God

A band who carried on doing their own thing despite being either reviled or ignored by the music press.
This is their with the usual mix of pop tunes and batshit crazy madness. Worth it for the wonderful Dirty Boy (which was astonishing live) on its own.

Not really slagged off, but massively underrated was the only album Motorhead did with Brian Robertson -

Another Perfect Day.

I think it was a bit lost in the wake of Ace of Spades and the departure of Eddie Clarke.

When Roger Waters did The Wall live a few years back, I was slightly surprised by how much I enjoyed the whole thing with the visuals and with total concentration on it.

It's probably easier to be distracted by other things when listening at home during the 'not Comfortably Numb' bits.
